Anti-corrosion coating
COMTECH CO has two anti-corrosion coating sections, in different locations: Slatina and Zimnicea.
The 3LPE/3LPP coating process is done according to the standards DIN 30670, ISO 21809-1, DIN 30678, as well as other standards at the customer’s request.

The 3LPE/3LPP coating process is done according to the standards DIN 30670, ISO 21809-1, DIN 30678, as well as other standards at the customer’s request.
The pipes coating consists of 3 layers:
Layer 1: consists of the epoxy primer layer. It subsequently provides corrosion protection and is fusion bonded to the blasted steel surface.
Layer 2: is a copolymer adhesive that has an excellent chemical bond with the polyethylene/polypropylene inner layer and top layer.
Layer 3: is the polyethylene/polypropylene layer used for protection against any physical damage to the pipes.
3LPE/3LPP coated pipes are the preferred choice for transporting oil and gas around the world.
They can withstand various temperatures and environments, from land to deep underwater regions.
3LPE/3LPP coated steel pipes are used for the transportation of potable water, oil and gas and other fluids.
Dimensional ranges:
– Slatina location: 1”- 20” (33.7 mm- 508 mm)
– Zimnicea location: 16”- 32” (406,4 mm – 813 mm)
