Internal coatings for industrial pipes
Comtech offers internal pipe coating services through two complementary technologies: FCE (Flow Coat Epoxy) and SFE (Solvent Free Epoxy), applied at the Zimnicea production platform.
Internal coating is essential for applications where friction reduction, deposit prevention and internal surface corrosion protection directly contribute to transport efficiency and pipe service life.
The internal coating service is available for both Comtech-produced SAWH pipes and client-supplied pipes, depending on project specifications.
FCE – Flow Coat Epoxy
Epoxy resin coating applied by continuous flow casting. Provides a uniform, adherent and chemically resistant anti-corrosion barrier, ideal for water and gas transport pipes.
SFE – Solvent Free Epoxy
Solvent-free epoxy coating with superior adhesion and high chemical resistance. Used in applications where hydraulic efficiency and pressure loss reduction are critical.
