Two coating lines, a complete diameter range
Comtech operates two 3LPE/3LPP external coating lines, each optimised for a diameter segment, covering the full range required for energy infrastructure, fluid transport and utilities projects.
The three-layer protection system – epoxy primer, copolymer adhesive and polyethylene or polypropylene jacket – provides a long-lasting anti-corrosion barrier resistant to mechanical stress and harsh operating environments.

Three-layer coating structure
Each layer has a precise role in protecting the pipe, and together they form a unified system, tested and certified to international standards.
Layer 1: Epoxy primer
The primary anti-corrosion barrier, applied directly to the prepared pipe surface. Provides adhesion and electrochemical protection of the steel.
Layer 2: Copolymer adhesive
Creates the chemical bond between the epoxy primer and the outer jacket, ensuring system cohesion throughout the service life.
Layer 3: PE/PP jacket
External mechanical protection in polyethylene (PE) or polypropylene (PP), resistant to impact, abrasion and soil or operating environment stresses.
